Christian Audigier Swimwear
In addition to Christian Audigier swimwear, Avignon, France is home to many artistic wonders. Roman bridges, Gothic cathedrals, English theater festivals, and museums that house some of the most stunning works of the French countryside. Even Picasso, moved by the rolling hills of Avignon, created one of his most loved pieces there- Les Demoiselle’s d’ Avignon. The most recent artistic masterpiece that has come out of this French city is Christian Audigier- clothing designer extraordinaire, and the godfather of designer jeans & swimwear.
Audigier’s latest venture has been into men's swimwear. And the world of board shorts hasn’t been the same since. Through both the Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier lines, these swim trunks are making a big splash with consumers- especially the under 40 crowd. Traditionally, men’s swimsuits have been notoriously lackluster. Briefs or trunks in your choice of black or blue has been the norm in beachwear for guys. Until Now. Embracing the new trend of longer, looser swim trunks (board shorts) Audigier’s mens bathing suits burst onto the scene in a flash of color and style.
Inspired by Japanese tattoo art, these swim shorts are awash in brilliant color and texture. Audigier’s target audience of young, edgy American males have responded well to the line, sporting the vibrant board shorts on beaches across the States. Once again, Christian Audigier used his Midas touch to tap into the pulse of America’s youth and come up with exactly what men today are looking for in swimwear.
In his meteoric rise to the top of the fashion world, Audigier has worked with such notable brands as American Outfitters, Diesel, Bisou-Bisou, and Levis. His most recognizable work came with Von Dutch, where, among other things, he is credited with popularizing the trucker hat among his A-list clientele. Today, the Audigier name appears on nine labels, including the ever popular Ed Hardy, and his own line, Christian Audigier.
Cool, comfortable swimwear for men. Such a simple concept…but there is nothing simple about the look of Christian Audigier bathing trunks. Skulls, tigers and snakes, all paired brilliantly with hearts and insignias, and illuminated with the colors of a tattoo parlor.
